Wear what makes you feel fantastic remembering a few things:

Bring accessories! 

Add a fun jacket, a hat, sunglasses, or bring some amazing boots or shoes. Accessories give you so many more posing options! 

Wear clothing that is you, and don’t be afraid to kick it up a notch! 

If you want a romantic look in a field, bring the flowy dress.  If you want an edgy urban vibe, grab a jacket or some funky boots.  Or bring both!  You can create an awesome album of images by bringing a variety of clothing to your session.  By the way,  I have a few pieces that you are welcome to browse before we start. 

Guys, consider a suit jacket and khakis/jeans for one look?  I promise it looks so good, and your family will love it. 

Wear clothing that is the right size.

Ok, this may hurt, but ignore the number on the tag. Buy the size that smoothes over your body and flatters your figure. Wearing clothing that is too tight creates problems in posing, and it just doesn’t photograph well.  The short dresses are in, but they sure limit your posing. 

Guys, if you can't bend in your jeans, you might want to change. Be ready to pose - stand, squat, lean, cross your legs, and anything else I can imagine! 

Wear clothing that is clean and wrinkle free. And on a hanger. 

Please arrive with your clothes on a hanger and ready to wear.  Please don't show up with your clothes crammed in a duffle. Please plan for your session because this is your senior session.  Let's make it amazing, so start with the small details. 

I will have a lint brush at the studio to get rid of random fuzzies, but pet hair and dirt will always show up in your portraits.  Asking if I can 'photoshop that out later' - just don't lol 

Pay attention to all the tiny details

My lens will capture your eyelashes, so it will definitely show if you skip the details like brushed teeth, clean finger nails, clean hair, or a scrubbed face. I highly recommended a little exfoliation before your session.  

Ladies, make up isn’t required, but it sure smooths everything and makes editing a breeze.  If your nail breaks, see if you can get it fixed before you arrive.  You don't have to have a fancy mani-pedi, but please don't show up with 3/4 of a manicure.  It's sad to cull an image because you don't like your toes in an image.  

Now, if you do all of that, and you still wake up with blemishes - I've got you! I always remove blemishes and anything that looks like it will be gone in 2 weeks.  Moles and scars will stay unless you tell me to make them go away.  I am here to make you look and feel your best!
